As I type this I am actually realising how poor my writing skills have become. Well you really can't blame me. Heck, the last time I wrote a proper essay was 3 years ago! And I expect this post to be a really short one, just as a warm up to some hopefully entertaining posts in the future. Also, I am in the middle of my massively overdue mandarin revision which I need to get back to and so a short blog post will just have to suffice.
I know I have been telling everyone I am currently studying mandarin, but the boy is excited to finally get in touch with his roots and not be such a disgrace to his race(imma poet and I don't even know it.. -_-")
But I always wonder why people expect you to be really good at it. I mean, everytime I tell someone I am studying mandarin, they immediately assume, I am totally fluent in it. Do you get that a lot when you tell people that you have learnt something? Maybe cooking or gardening?(..........yeah those are real manly examples of skills we can learn, Julian...) ok no, maybe you're taking up a sport and you tell your friends you've just started playing. Do they immediately suggest you play a match with them?
Oh it should be said that I do not mind it at all, it is just something I've observed in the past which brings me to something else I would like to share. Just putting myself in the shoes of someone who is next to the people I tell I am learning mandarin to. You know, lets say I told Fanny(haha fanny...) that I am learning mandarin and Dick(haha dick...) was right there and heard it. And then I go and tell someone else with Dick being there too.. I mean wouldn't Dick feel so annoyed at me? 'Oh there Julian goes again.....He is just trying to show off' I mean if I was Dick I would be annoyed..ahh anyway sorry, I am digressing.. wait, from what? I never had a point to begin with.
Anyway, I have had a lot of exciting things happen recently. Well yesterday to be exact. And it involved going to the mall. (......wow real exciting, Julian).. I will talk about that tomorrow or something when I get the pictures because lets face it, no one likes boring wordy blog posts like this one.
hurm, I was about to end this blogpost already but I really don't want it to be too dull. So I will insert 3 very cute pictures that I really really like a lot.
(pay no attention to me.. It is my girlfriend you want to focus on... and no I am NOT a paedophile! I just really love my little cousin... love her so much to call her your girlfriend? errr) aiya, here are the pictures!
Right back to Mandarin...(zhen zhi means politics..speaking of politics.........hmmm, I think I will save that for another day. This is supposed to be a short post after all.)
PS: Gavin Rossdale's 'Love Remains the Same' is very awesome!
