Airplane Blues

G'day mate!(feeling very Aussie today for some reason) Hope you all have been doing good and very sorry for the late post(for those who really care to read my blog. Love you, Mom).

So, I have just arrived in cold and wet Oxford after spending 2 nights with my London friends. 'Twas a very good 2 nights... (Oh were they hot and sweaty too, Ju?.. I should stop)

Actually, this post is going to be about the things I hate and like about airplane flights because on the plane when I was on the way to Heathrow, I realized a lot of things bothered me which then made me think that there are surely things I should like about airplane flights.

 I don't know about you guys but airplane flights leave very little to be desired. And for those who have not been on an airplane, do not fret, you ain't missing out on a lot unless you like being caught in tight spaces, eat regurgitated food for meals and... you know what? I'll save it for my list of things-I-hate-about-airplanes-flights.

Alright here goes;

Things I like about airplanes flights (in blue because blue is a happy colour)

1. The toilet flush. You know how the toilet basically sucks in the shit/pee/tissue paper? And no matter how much 'junk' you have in it, it always is able to suck the whole lot. UBER COOL
2. The effort the air stewardesses make to look pretty. I mean how can you not like the EFFORT especially when they have tons of make-up and hairspray on?
3. Salted peanuts. Probably the only edible thing in the entire aircraft.
4. The terribly bad acting during the safety infomercial before the plane takes off. I find it funny.
5. Free pillows!(well, not exactly free but I take 'em :D)
6. In-flight entertainment(ie movies and tv shows). Just about the only thing that gets me through 13 hours on the plane besides my iPod.

Things I hate about airplane flights (in red because it makes me angweee)

1. The ridiculous amount of seat/leg space. I am not claustrophobic but I'm pretty darn sure that enough flights will make me claustrophobic.
2. Waiting for the lavatory. Why is it that everyone has to shit/pee/puke/groom themselves at the same time?! 
3. The food served. :S
4. The hopelessly stupid games they have.
5. The person in front who declines his chair leaving you no space in front and forcing you to watch Ugly Betty on a screen 4 inches away from your face.
6. People who love to pee (especially when you are having an aisle seat)
7. The headphones they give that hurt your ears after a while.
8. Racist air steward(ess). You know you have got air stewards or stewardesses that treat the guai lows like kings but us asians like trash?
9. Babies crying.
10. The food served. Wait, I already mentioned that.
11. Turbulence. I never liked roller coasters and so I will never like turbulence.
12. Passengers who keep talking to you.
13. Not having the mobile phone switched on. I know you can't use it anyway because there is no reception but doesn't it feel like something is missing when you're phone is switched off? It is almost a psychic connection with your mobile phone isn't it?
14. Missing the pretty views because you are on the other side of the plane.
15. A fat person who occupies his seat and half of yours. Don't get me wrong I love fat people! I think tummies and chubbies are very cute but the seat is already so small..Have some sympathy.
16. People who sing out loud in the airplane. I was one of them until I got a taste of my own medicine. It's karma I tell ya.
17. Watching a movie which gets interrupted because the pilot needs to announce that Belgium is on our right.
18. At this point, I don't know if you are bored already from reading the list but I hate it when you try to sleep but you can't!
19. Flat hair at the back of my head after the flight.
20. Needing to use the toilet when the people on the left and right of me are asleep.
21. Having red eyes after watching 3 movies and 6 episodes of Ugly Betty to pass the time.
22. People who kick the back of my seat.
23. Pilots who just love talking.
24. Not being able to land because of air traffic.
25. And having to wait for your luggage on the conveyor belt with the inkling feeling that it might not turn up.(this is after the flight I know, but it is annoying nonetheless)

There are plenty more but I do not want to sound like a brat. (you already do, Ju)

So, what do you like/dislike about airplane flights?
