-EDIT- If you have an Asian friend in England, this would probably not be the first blog post you have read about snow.

It snowed in Oxford (and the rest of England), as if the title of this blog post did not already give it away. And boy was it pretty!

It was 11.23pm (I made that up) as I was doing a little bit of work, when Esther shouted from inside her room to tell me it was snowing. I jumped outta my chair and opened my curtains and bloody hell, XIAXUE! (multilingual pun. :D)

So I grabbed my camera and like a sakai, ran outta my flat dragging Esther along just so we could take pictures. To be honest, I think a small part of my life was completed last night because the snow was honestly so amazing, my dreams of how snow was had nothing on last night's snow. And it wasn't like a blizzard either like in London (:P). It came down heavily but slowly. Reminiscent of Hollywood snow. (I am such a twat. haha. Soz 118A)

So anyway, I took loads of pictures but I am only gonna post a few up here because it is taking ages to upload them pictures. Grrr

I was genuinely happy for the first time in a long time. (slight exaggeration)

Rob's snow angel. I wanted to do also but I scared dirty.lol

So, after 5 minutes a good number of Jesubites came down and we started having a snowball fight!

It was a lot more exciting than this picture depicts.

Major casualty- Noreen.

Rosemary!!

JEEEEEEESUUUUUUS

We had so much fun until the caretaker spoilt it for us. He was quite horrid.

Anyway after that, Elen, Tom and Ed decided to go to Port Meadow (it was midnight) and I tagged along. It was such a nice walk too and despite having so little clothes on I did not feel cold. I kinda refused to because it was too exciting!

Me, Ed and Tom.

Ed, Tom and Elen.

And we saw a crazy cyclist. Who cycles around an empty meadow at 1am? It was quite scary because you could imagine the next morning's paper headlines reading "4 killed and thrown into the river by bonkers cyclist at midnig............ Err, sorry.

So after all that, Edison told me to savour the snow as it would be gone the next day so I made sure I did but the only thing I did not manage to do was build a snowman. We were in the process of making one too when the caretaker scolded us >:/ It was quite upsetting but............

.....on the next morning, the first thing I did was open up my curtains to see if the snow was there and  it still was! Yay.

So I went for lectures and wanted to take a really nice picture of Oxford covered in snow from the 8th floor of the engineering building and so I did. I have no shame.

So nice right! Haih.

And after that I went around town and took pictures like a tourist. Actually thinking about it I am quite embarrassed for being so sakai.

The Sheldonian Theatre.

My college :)

1st Quad of Jesus :)

And then to cap off my snow escapades, Jenny and I built a snowman and snowwoman. It was so exciting. My first ever snowman! It was really very fun.

I look pleased :)

Jenny-oooppa-bauhn-theorum-Owen

I wanna get a hat like that. It is sooo cool :(

In case, you are wondering what I am doing, I am putting my arms around their shoulders.

YAY! I think I shall call them Montgomery and Elise. Hokay Jenny?

And so ends my eventful day with snow.

-EDIT- Montgomery and Elise are dead. Montgomery died last night during a brutal snowball fight. (His head and body were used as snowballs. The horror!). Elise was found decapitated and I was almost going to take a picture but I was overcome with emotion and fainted (not really).
They will be greatly missed.

huiying, via post or email? Your choice :) lol

samleawts, so pretty right. I was quite taken back as well. My snowpeople are indeed DWARVES (so rude call them midgets). In case you didn't notice, my snowpeople do not have the necessary means for reproduction. teehee.

kt, I will make sure! But I still feel left out. lol
Eh you are more sakai than me ok. But it is ok. If you come here and we see snow, we can sakai together!lol

cw, it is so much nicer when you see if for real. I periodically caught snow flakes and looked at their structure. So pretty. (haha so geeky also)
We are all sakais at heart.lol And you aren't much taller than me ok, queks!

Suet, I think it snows here annually but it usually isn't very heavy. Apparently UK is experiencing its heaviest snow in 18 years which is quite sad for Oxford because the snow has all melted away already. Thankfully boys don't have that problem. I only have 2 pairs of shoes. If I am feeling happy I wear one pair and if I am feeling sad I wear the other. How very easy!
