CNY 118A OX

Having received the pictures of the food I had with my friends from London for Chinese New Year dinner, I have decided to make your mouths water by posting up...........................the EXACT SAME pictures from Brian's blog. Yay. (They were the only pictures taken that night)

Yee Sang. My first ever. Don't judge me.

Siew Yoke is in my 'food that makes me happy' group.

Roast Duck also.

Chicken (rice)

Pan-fried salmon.

It doesn't look very much here but it really was a whole pile of cabbage. We need our veges after all.

And lastly, this is my Lion Head Meatballs which were quite nice loh. Dunno why they didn't say it was nice. They just ate and went 'mm ok quite nice'    T_____T

*salivate now*

them people.

I know right, I am such a blogger now. Got pictures of food and have been updating so frequently. And I think I have more to blog about seeing as ;
1. I have proven a very prominent theory wrong (that for another day)
2. I am going to watch the AUSTRALIAN OPEN FINAL at Jances' place (all you big-mouthed Federer fans make me sick to my stomach) tomorrow
3. I will be going for this black tie event later at night.

So I reckon I will blog about all that.(best news in the world innit)

Anyway, someone said a really mean thing to me earlier which I thought was very unnecessary. It kinda got me a little down but.... whatever

Sorry about the previous post. I was quite annoyed with people. In fact I still am but it is just the way it is. People are pretentious and superficial and will take advantage of you at the first opportunity. But it is just the way it is.

Anyway, some happy news.

1. I did really well for my Collections and am very pleased.
2. Australian Open finals this weekend! And I might actually be able to WATCH IT ON THE TELE with Jances Pang and her Bruneian friend!
3. I have been very healthy lately with my choice of food and sleeping habits.
4. I am on top of work! WOO!
5. My PSP is working again!

And some depressing news.

1. I have labs tomorrow. I am not looking forward to it.
2. Being treasurer of a club without having any access to the accounts has been a pain in the backside. I couldn't be bothered anymore tbh.
3. My PSP has been a major distraction.
4. I wanted to go down to London but decided not to for very sensitive reasons.

Okay so my depressing news isn't exactly the most traumatizing. But whatever.

Anyway, I also wanted to ask if you guys have listened to Britney Spears' (not every guy who listens to her music is gay) new single 'If U Seek Amy'?

It is really quite clever but it makes me wonder what level music has stooped down to.

Erm also another thing, GONG HEI FATT CHOI!

And another, I saw a real apple tree.........
(Apples on the tree)

(Apples under the tree)

.........in Warwick last year. Yeah very outdated. Anyway it was very exciting.

Sorry this post isn't very interesting. What do you expect from someone like me? Booze, sex and drugs? I wish!(not really. Well maybe sex can be an exception but no I do not wish)

This one's copyright-free

Hey guys. I am sorry this blog has been neglected so. And I regret to say that it shall be this way for the next 2 months because I have returned to the land of constant torture that is Oxford.

Here's a short post to fill you guys on what I have been up to. I flew back last Tuesday and I have to say that the highlight of the whole trip to the UK and my stay here so far is.... *jeng jeng jeng* the very fact that I had a WHOLE F*CKING ROW TO MYSELF ON THE AIRPLANE! I cannot begin to tell you how amazing it felt to actually sleep on the plane! I even asked the air steward to put a DND post-it note on my head (not really) so that they won't ask me whether I wanted to eat or whatever.

But I had my fair share of bad luck. I had the most talkative pilot EVER. He couldn't stop talking! Every time I was about to sleep, he kept telling us about the air temperature outside and how high we were. Does anyone really care about those things? So what if it is -2 outside? Can see from the screen right? Ugh.

Anyway, the other highlight of my flight was not only did I get to sleep, I didn't eat any airplane food! HURRAH! And I also borrowed a pillow! So I now have an extra pillow for when I go to bed. Yay.

One complaint though. Why doesn't MAS make pillows like they used to? (so that cheapskates like you don't steal their pillows, Ju!) They now have really hard plastic-like pillows. They used to make really nice comfy ones in the past.

See!

This is a very bad excuse of a pillow.

This is a very good excuse of a pillow lol

Anyway, yes I have forgotten to return them but I will one day. As for now, they are temporarily mine.

Okay! So, when I got back I, immediately had exams. T_T Really no mercy this Oxford. And I had 2 papers. One was alright and the other atrocious! But it is over already lah. T__T

And then I went to London and watched Slumdog Millionaire which was a fucking good movie.. and The Wrestler which was good as well. I will be going to London tomorrow for the weekend to celebrate Chinese New Year with my favourite people in London! And hopefully watch Milk, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and maybe Revolutionary Road which I hear are all good movies.

Anyway term started on Monday and as usual, I am busy as hell and so I have been mostly working which is quite depressing. But I shall not despair. LANDAN BOUND tomorrow!

Oh and I am still very much amazed at how much cheaper things are online! I am definitely going to start to buy stuff from Amazon! Ok lah that's it. Like I said, this one's copyright-free.

P.S. : Yesterday, at dinner, my friend Jenny asked me what ' T____T ' meant and it took me 10 minutes and a lot of imagination on her part for her to finally understand that it is a crying emoticon. It was quite funny because everyone else was trying hard to figure it out too. See... There ARE kicks, being Asian! One being the ability to understand emoticons lol

*I spent 5 minutes thinking of a clever title and........... NOTHING!*

That's testimony to how mentally drained I am from studying for something that doesn't even count towards my final degree. Damn you, kaisu-ness!

I am less than a day away from flying half way across the globe back to my beloved Oxford to sit for an exam that counts for nothing. But I shall not despair despite having a very VERY uneventful winter holiday where I got sick twice and spent a good amount of time on work, because when I get back to Oxford, I will be able to savour and thoroughly enjoy another 8 weeks of intense hell. Whoop di doo! (wtf damn gay)

Well, I really am not all that bummed. And I only complain because I find it amusing.......err in a very twisted way. I am contented and happy with life. In fact, recently, I have been thanking God spontaneously when I get very morbid thoughts because I am grateful none of them (although some are quite far-fetched like how an army of ants will come attack me because I killed its queen when I didn't actually kill its queen) have happened. It is quite weird I know but I have been doing it very frequently lately.

Hmmm, well there isn't anything intellectually stimulating here(what's new) but I realized yesterday that my family owns a lot of CDs. Original CDs! I mean living in Malaysia, you would think that the temptation of supporting piracy might cripple us but no, we actually have got so many original CDs! (I say 'original' as if it is such an achievement for not giving in to piracy haha)

Ok first is my collection:

I mean nothing impressive I admit. And yes I have an unhealthy number of Britney Spears' albums *cringe*. I used to really like her *cringefuckingcringe*. And my Spongebob is uber cool. Thank you Happy Meal.

Ok and then my dad's CD collection:

That's quite a lot don't you think? Definitely more than mine lah. I mean I have stopped collecting CDs already. *then where do you get your music from Ju?*

And finally my brother's collection which puts mine and my dad's to shame!

And there are more in those drawer like CD holders but he wouldn't let me open them because I think he doesn't want me to mess up his stuff. But in any case, that's plenty right! And all original!

Well I just thought it was amusing.. Also because all our CD's are in plastic covers. lol
.
.
.
.
.

haha I am so lifeless, I decided to count the number of CDs we all have..

I have 83 (wimp!). My dad has 242. And my brother, there were too many and I lost count half way so I am estimating 850 CDs, maybe more...

That amounts to about 1924 CDs and if each CD was on average RM40, that's RM 76,960 ! WTF NO ONE SHOULD LOVE MUSIC THAT MUCH!

Haih anyway, I am leaving tomorrow night. I shall try to be optimistic but the circumstances do not look very promising...

Observations... Oh and happy new year folks!

Hiya!

Sorry about the hiatus. My reasons for not blogging are actually quite valid but totally irrelevant and so I will save you the time from reading unnecessary material. (heck, maybe you should stop reading now because this whole blog post is really unnecessary)

Anyway, first things first. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! I have not wished many people as I have been stuck in my own little world these past few days! But if you read this, I don't care but it counts as me wishing you already okay.

I haven't been very happy these past few days. I know, what a way to start my new year.

But in any case, I want to share a few things I have realized/observed/remembered!

1. Why is it I can never get a person to wipe the correct side of his face when he has got like food or whatever on his face?!

It happened many times last week. My mom had a grain of rice (how chinese) on her right cheek and I told her to wipe it off but she wiped her left cheek. Same thing happened to my brother and friend and etc.

2. How come no one sends me cute texts anymore?

You know them texts that wish you Merry Christmas or Happy New Year or say I Miss You wtf. And then they have cute little emoticons. I used to save all of them in a special folder in my phone! Now no one sends them. Maybe 'cause got MMS already. :(

3. How we used to refer to the time on Astro as the official time!

If we were late for school, we would always argue that we were still early based on the official time; the time shown on Astro!

4. How we always tell a new couple how cute they look together.

I am gonna be honest. Some couples don't look good together at all. And sometimes even though you know they will never work out, we tell them they look perfect together. WHY?!

5. Why would people come on MSN and put DND (Do Not Disturb)?

I mean if you didn't want to be disturbed, don't come on MSN!

As you can see I am in a pissy mood.

Before I continue, here is a short commercial break...
----Please answer the poll on the right if you want. It will be fun one!---------

Ok lemme continue..

6. How can people think that calling themselves 'Princess Baby Angelz' is cute?

It is all over Friendster! Girls who strike the same pose over and over again with the camera held above their heads and them winking or giving the peace sign. How is that cute?! Ok maybe a little bit wtf. But it is getting old! These same girls have got multiple profiles because they have 'too many' friends to fit into one profile.

7. Why I keep saying wtf

I don't want to say already!!!!

8. How we always had that one classmate in kindergarten or primary school who kept shitting in his/her pants!

There was this one girl when I was in Sri Inai, who lao sai in her panties  many times and so we made a song for her. It went like this..

Mary Mary, pot pot in her panty!

HAHA (her name was Mary (no shit *pun* :D) and pot pot means shit)

9. How my parents used to refer to actions by sound.

'Shi shi' meant urinate, 'pot pot' or 'erh erh' meant to take a shit, 'pom pom' meant to bathe  LOL

10. How I am always upset with my haircut!

I can never come home and say, "oh my haircut looks pretty awesome" :/

Sigh, actually this was sorta my way of releasing some frustration. Anyway, hope you guys have a great year ahead! HAPPY NEW YEAR once again!
